Cycling Mum

Posted by on

Hello! I had started this small business before I had children. Now three years later I have a gorgeous 1-year-old son, and my cycling life has changed a lot.

Writing a blog was important to me. I kept thinking, how can I blog about cycling when I am no longer out there five mornings a week. So many cyclists no longer surrounded me. No longer out on the weekend riding over 100km in the hills. What can I possibly talk about on this blog?

Yesterday I listened to a webinar, and it was all about how to grow your social media following. What I took away from it, was I need to narrow my reach down within my passion. I have built my business on my cycling passion so where do I narrow my scope too? Cycling mums were the obvious choice or niche within my passion. Most of the women I was out riding with at 5.45am each morning are mums, and we are all trying to get the time out on the bike while juggling being mums. This topic I could write about, it was my world.

There are many different situations for cycling mums out there. I will get a few guest cycling mums to interview along the way. Hearing all their stories will give us all an insight into how we all do it. Love our bikes and love our kids, that is.

This blog excites me now!  Yay! Can't wait to share my cycling family with you all, Noah (my son), Craig (my partner) & me Liza.

Ride safe and enjoy it!
